Kansas City PBS is thrilled to announce the return of Art House with filmmaker and host John McGrath. Season four of the digital series produced by Flatland, Kansas City PBS’ digital journalism platform, will run every first and third Friday on flatlandkc.org starting Friday, Oct. 20, plus a special Halloween episode on Friday, Oct. 27.

“Kansas City PBS is proud to bring Art House back for a fourth season. This digital series is special because it highlights Kansas City’s film community and invites our viewers to support local talent,” Kansas City PBS president and CEO Kliff Kuehl said. “I’m grateful to John McGrath and the rest of our Flatland team for making Art House season four possible.”

Twice a month, Art House will center a local filmmaker and their latest film by dissecting the aesthetics, theory and symbolism behind their work. In the season four premiere, McGrath will interview Oscar Award-winning filmmaker Kevin Willmott and associate producer and author C.J. Janovy, whose latest film No Place Like Home will air on Kansas City PBS at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20.

“Each filmmaker is different and has a unique story to tell,” host and Emmy Award-winning Kansas City PBS filmmaker John McGrath said. “Art House gives their voices a platform.”

For three seasons, Art House has provided a space unlike any other by celebrating the talent and content of Kansas City’s vibrant film community. Don’t miss season four of this one-of-a-kind, local series. Previous seasons of Art House are available to watch now at flatlandkc.org/art-house
