Fall Funding Drive 2018: Thank You for Your Support!

Thank you for supporting KCPT during our Fall Funding Drive

A growing number of Kansas Citians continue to choose KCPT for television worthy of their attention and support. The more than 1,000 supporters of our recent on-air funding drive affirmed our direction for local content and national programming. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue to connect you to arts and entertainment, education, nature, history, public affairs — and to one another — here at Kansas City PBS.
For 16 days across our Kansas City PBS channels, we encouraged you to be our neighbor — our partner — in showing and sharing the power of public media as we took our cues from the legacy of Fred Rogers, an advocate of public television. With the help of legendary household names, enthusiastic on-air hosts, KCPT studio guests and local organizations, we pointed out the importance of public television to this place we call home. And you've responded generously.

There were many reasons to celebrate in those 16 days, including the exciting making of the popular Broadway musical “Hamilton,” a star-studded tribute to Leonard Cohen, our love of Betty White, and the memories from Dionne Warwick’s music catalog that was too great to walk on by. KCPT is proud to bring such exciting programs to our community.

Collectively, your individual contributions are the largest source of revenue for KCPT, and collectively, you make up the largest group of public media advocates in Kansas City. It’s such a good feeling when you support Kansas City PBS.
