Kansas City PBS Passport is a member benefit available to donors who contribute $60+ annually or $5+ ongoing monthly to the station. As a member benefit, a donation is required in order to receive Kansas City PBS Passport. Become a Kansas City PBS member here!


+ How do I activate Kansas City PBS Passport?

When you make a qualifying contribution to Kansas City PBS, you will receive an email with activation instructions. Follow the link in that email prompting you to activate your Kansas City PBS Passport.

+ What kind of shows can I watch with Kansas City PBS Passport?

The Kansas City PBS Passport library currently offers members more than 1,500 episodes to watch, with new PBS programs being added weekly. The library features episodes from popular programs and documentaries like American Experience, American Masters, Antiques Roadshow, Nature, NOVA, The Great British Baking Show, and Masterpiece shows such as Victoria and Grantchester. In addition to these signature series, the library is full of public television’s acclaimed arts, science, history and lifestyle programs, including How We Got to Now, EARTH a New Wild, Austin City Limits, Independent Lens, Secrets of the Dead, Rick Steves’ Europe and a rotating selection from filmmaker Ken Burns.

+ If I do not have Kansas City PBS Passport, will I still be able to watch programs on PBS.org for free?

Yes! Free is not going away. Shows exclusive to Kansas City PBS Passport are marked with the Passport icon, but many of our programs are available for free on multiple digital platforms, including pbs.org, the PBS app, and the PBS channels on AppleTV and other streaming services. And of course, PBS and Kansas City PBS’s local programs will continue to be broadcast to the public, for free, over the air.

+ Is Kansas City PBS Passport available outside the U.S.?

All PBS streaming video — including Kansas City PBS Passport — is available only within the United States.

+ I already contribute to Kansas City PBS. How do I watch Kansas City PBS Passport shows?

If you’ve made at least a $60 annual donation in the past year, or you’re a sustaining member donating $5 or more per month, and we have an active email address associated with your membership on file, you’re ready to get started! You should have already received an email from Kansas City PBS inviting you to begin the activation process.There’s a chance the email may have gotten filtered into your spam box, so be sure to look for any messages from Kansas City PBS.

+ I can’t find the email that contains my activation code. What should I do?

Click here and enter the email address you provided when becoming a member. We’ll send you another email containing a Kansas City PBS Passport activation code and instructions!

+ I’m already a Kansas City PBS member. Do I need to make an additional contribution in order to use Kansas City PBS Passport?

If you have made a donation of $60 or more in the past year, you do not need to make an additional donation to the station. If you would like to make an additional contribution in order to meet the $60 giving level of this benefit, please contact Kansas City PBS Member Services at membership@kcpt.org or 816-756-3580 to upgrade your membership and receive access to Kansas City PBS Passport.

+ I think my membership qualifies for Kansas City PBS Passport, but I’m not sure. How do I find out?

+ How do I make changes to my Kansas City PBS membership?

Please contact Kansas City PBS Member Services to make any changes to your member account. If you are a Sustaining member who donates monthly, you can adjust or cancel your monthly donation payments by calling 816-756-3580 or emailing membership@kcpt.org

No. You can view Kansas City PBS Passport videos just by logging in to Kansas City PBS/PBS from your computer, smartphone or tablet.

Right now Kansas City PBS Passport content is available via your desktop computer or laptop using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge. It is also available on the PBS Video app for iOS and Android for smartphones and tablets. (NOTE: Keep in mind you must sign in to the website or app using the same login information with which you activated your Passport account.)
