Kansas City PBS invites all innovative vendors and contractors to participate in the next chapter of the station’s exciting building renovation. Kansas City PBS is requesting proposals to expand the functionality of the current broadcast router. The deadline for submissions is March 22, 2024. 

Kansas City PBS is gearing up for a technological revamp to increase content creation capabilities and enhance our community-driven programming. By collecting competitive quotes from contractors and vendors, Kansas City PBS can ensure grant funding is spent responsibly and conduct a fair bidding process per Kansas City PBS’ Vendor Selection Policy.

Project Description and Services Required

The station is looking for a vendor/contractor to provide fiber optic-based input and output hardware that is compatible with our existing router frame. The selected vendor will also provide and install armored optical fiber inside the existing cable tray in Kansas City PBS’ facility. See the full request for proposals here. 

Proposal Guidelines:

  • Please use the subject line: KCPBS Studio Upgrade RFP.
  • Please submit a letter on company letterhead indicating interest, an overview of company services/operations and past comparable projects.
  • Please provide an approximate project cost and timeline.
  • Please submit at least two recommendations from past customers.
     

Criteria for final vendor evaluations:

  • Timeline
  • Total Project Cost
  • References
  • Past Successful Projects

 

Payment Terms: Payment in full upon receipt of the final invoice after project completion. Net 30 Days.

Timeline: Selected vendor must be able to conclude all services by December 1, 2024.
