After revamping our Midtown building in 2023, Kansas City PBS is excited to continue stepping into the future by upgrading our content production spaces. We invite contractors and vendors to submit proposals for electrical work to support the studio upgrades. By collecting competitive quotes, Kansas City PBS can ensure grant funding is spent responsibly and conduct a fair bidding process per Kansas City PBS’ Vendor Selection Policy.
Project Description and Services Required
The station is looking for a contractor(s) to install low-voltage cable pathways in two studios and install new electrical circuits. Potential vendors will provide materials and installation services for Electric Metallic Tubing (EMT), basket-style cable tray, junction boxes, and 120-volt electrical outlets. The vendor will provide all necessary tools and materials to complete installation, including, but not limited to, unistrut, conduit, fittings, hangers, protective bushings, cable tray, boxes, wire, outlet devices, etc. The station will provide the breakers in the existing Siemens UPS-protected electrical panelboard. The selected contractor is not responsible for installing low-voltage cabling into these cable pathways. See the full request for proposals here.
Proposal Guidelines:

- Please submit a letter on company letterhead indicating interest, an overview of company services/operations and past comparable projects.
- Please provide an approximate project cost and timeline.
- Please submit at least two recommendations from past customers.

Payment Terms: Payment in full upon receipt of the final invoice after project completion. Net 30 Days.
Timeline: Selected vendor must be able to conclude all services by June 1, 2024.
