Meet the Appraisers

Furniture, Sports Memorabilia

Jason Roske

Jason R. Roske founded KC Auction & Appraisal Company, specializing in fine art, antiques, and estates. With over 20 years of experience, he emphasizes integrity and transparency while helping clients navigate estate liquidations and appraisals. Jason conducts appraisal events and educational programs, believing every object tells a story beyond its monetary value. He's committed to preserving Kansas City's cultural heritage.

Asian Art

William Roske

Will Roske grew up in the antiques industry and has six years of focused experience in Asian art, specializing in Chinese porcelains, jades, and bronzes, as well as Japanese woodblocks, bronzes, and porcelains. He also studies antiquities, particularly Pre-Columbian jade, with emphasis on carving techniques, compositions, and workshop traditions. His approach combines hands-on experience with market awareness and continuous learning.

David Schulman

David Schulman is a licensed auctioneer and founder of Schulman Auction (est. 2006). A Missouri Auction School graduate, he specializes in ham radio equipment, antique radios, and vintage audio gear through online sales. His expertise extends to antique telephones, military communication equipment, vintage photography, and related ephemera, earning him a worldwide following among collectors.

Fine Art

Justin Rogers, ISA CAAP

Justin Rogers is a personal property appraiser, specializing in fine art. He is a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA CAPP) and is compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). He established Rogers Fine Art in 2007 to provide reliable appraisal and consultation services to estates, noteworthy private collections, museums, corporations, and cultural organizations.

Amy Abshier, BFA, CAGA, ISA CAAP

Amy earned her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and has worked with KC Auction & Appraisal Company since 2006. She has studied with the Certified Appraisers Guild of America and International Society of Appraisers. An active artist represented by Blue Gallery in the Crossroads Arts District, Amy specializes in fine art, sterling silver, Japanese woodblock prints, and vinyl records.

Antiques and Rare Finds

Jon and Marie Wyly

Jon and Marie Wyly are longtime Platte City antique dealers who formerly owned the I-29 Antique Mall and now operate Oldfangled Goods. With over fifty years of combined experience, they're known throughout the Midwest antiques circuit for their expertise, authenticity, and curated selection of rare finds. As appraisers, they offer thoughtful evaluations grounded in decades of hands-on market experience and genuine passion for antiques.
