Ken Burns and Lynn Novick explore the writer and his enduring influence. Coming April 2021.

About the Film

Kansas City PBS is proud to present Hemingway, a three-part, six-hour documentary series directed by award-winning filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.

Weaving together a study of the famed author’s life with excerpts from his fiction, non-fiction, and short stories, the film examines one of the most influential writers America has ever produced. Including interviews with celebrated writers, scholars, and Hemingway’s son, Patrick, audiences will go beyond the façade of the public image, becoming intimately familiar with this brilliant, ambitious, charismatic, and egocentric man.

Premieres Monday, April 5 at 7 p.m.
